Thanksgiving brings warm feelings and thoughts of delicious meals. The stress of planning and preparing a large meal for friends and family can lessen the fun of this great holiday. Thankfully, there are several businesses in Flint & Genesee that can help make Thanksgiving less stressful and even more delicious.

Fenton’s The Laundry is offering a Thanksgiving Buffet for those who want to get out of the house for the holiday. This buffet is on Nov. 28 and features turkey, ham, sirloin, pasta, truffle mashed potatoes, tamale stuffing, and many more delicious dishes. Reservations are required.

Blondie’s Food & Spirits in Flint is offering a full Thanksgiving dinner to pick up on Nov. 27 and heat up for your dinner the next day. There are limited dinners available, and they must be ordered online. Dinners are put together to feed four (though you can add more on if you need to) and include turkey gravy, stuffing, green bean casserole, sweet potato casserole, and dinner rolls. Throw in a turkey or a ham if you wish and add on a cheesecake or pie. There are many options available, even for those looking for a vegan meal.

Crust of Fenton is offering a take-home Thanksgiving dinner for four to six people. The center stage for this meal has a brown sugar smoked turkey breast paired with scratch gravy. You get whipped potatoes, Challah bread, green bean casserole, mac and cheese, candied yams, cornbread, and Michigan salad with dinner.  

Fenton's Ciao Italian Bistro is offering a turkey feast that will serve 8-12 people and includes a turkey, salad, pasta, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans, soup, and bread rolls with many extras you can add on. Order deadline is Nov. 24. 

Brick Street of Grand Blanc will welcome people to their restaurant with a special Thanksgiving menu featuring ham and turkey dinners. For more details, contact the restaurant directly.

Andiamo in Fenton has three options for families: the large family feast and two for small family feasts. Dinners include a Michigan fall harvest salad, rolls, stuffing, whipped potatoes, candied sweet potatoes, veggies, soup, pie, and gravy. Choose your own perfect menu to make for a special occasion.

Oliver T's of Grand Blanc offers a full dinner that includes turkey, mashed potatoes, sage stuffing, cranberry orange relish, rolls, a whole pie, and one more side item. Orders are open now, so you’ll want to make your reservation soon.

The Fenton Hotel Tavern & Grille is accepting reservations for their Thanksgiving dinner  on Nov. 28. A special menu is available for this meal with appetizers, soups, salads, sides, and full dinners. Roasted turkey is on the day’s menu as well as broiled Atlantic salmon, holiday duckling, lobster mac and cheese, autumn chicken, steak, prime rib, and more.

Flint’s The Local Grocer has several great Thanksgiving alternatives. You can get a pot pie, a charcuterie tray, a fruit tray, Brussels sprout salad, cranberry sauce, pie, mashed potatoes, or other options.

If you just need to take care of dessert, then Montrose Orchards has you covered. Orders should be in no later than Nov. 20 and there is a long list of freshly made pies to choose from. Pies range from apple, blueberry, cherry, blackberry, peach, pumpkin, pecan, coconut cream, chocolate cream, and many, many varieties of these as well.

Finally, if you are just looking to get out and have fun with friends, you can head to Blackstone’s Smokehouse in Flint for their Beersgiving event on Nov. 18. This event will feature drinks from Shorts Brewing Company as well as food that suits the season. Tickets are on sale now.

As Thanksgiving approaches, more options may become available, but this should give you some ideas for what you’ll want to do for the holiday. Wherever you get your meal or go for it, you’re sure to have a delicious dinner.
